THE ART & EXPERIENCE
I approach tattooing as a collaborative and considered process⦠Creating pieces that feel personal to the person wearing them, while making the experience of being tattooed just as thoughtful and meaningful.
My work is drawn from the natural world, symbolism, clean lines and soft textures, with an emphasis on creating tattoos that feel both delicate and enduring ~ designed to age beautifully in the Australian sun.

My name is Estelle, and Iβve been tattooing for 14 years in Newcastle, Australia.
My tattooing journey began with a traditional apprenticeship, where I was fortunate to learn under skilled artists and inherit a breadth of technical knowledge and wisdom across many styles. As a young artist, I became a multi-disciplinary tattooer, working across realism, geometric and illustrative tattooing.
Over time, I found myself drawn towards exploring my folk roots and the visual language of traditional and ornamental tattooing. Today, these influences have become a strong focus of my work, although what I love most about tattooing remains the same: meeting someone, understanding what they want to express, and collaborating to create something intentional, meaningful and beautiful - what ever that style may be.
I believe my multidisciplinary background allows me to bring a broad technical understanding to each piece, while creating something that feels uniquely suited to the person wearing it.
Outside of tattooing, I paint with acrylic on canvas. My paintings have grown from smaller, technical works into larger pieces that explore space, form and inhabitation. In much the same way that my tattooing has evolved to respond to the form of the body, my painting practice continues to evolve through a deeper relationship with space.

Each tattooer has their own drawing policy, but I like to send you a design before our date (the week of) for you to eyeball and make any necessary changes to (within reason). I find this makes for a much more calm, smooth and intentional appointment.
Note: My drawings are my own intellectual content that are copyright protected. Theyβre not to be taken, used or tattooed elsewhere.
